The church has today donated £180 to the Toilet Twinning charity. This follows our church meeting on Monday when we agreed to do this.
We have ‘twinned’ each of our three toilet facilities in the church hall – male, female and disabled – with communities in Malawi, Zambia and Afghanistan. The charity says:
“By donating £60 to twin your toilet, you help fund a project in a poor community that will enable families to build a basic toilet, have access to clean water and learn about hygiene – a vital combination that saves lives.“
We will soon receive a certificate, including a photograph of the latrine we have supported which we will display on our premises.
This helps to support our commitment in our Church Manifesto to ‘To make a priority of kindness and compassion, and pursue justice for all people‘
