Film Club

Our latest Film Club session saw us talking about ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri’.

It has to be said at the outset that if you are offended by bad language then this might not be the film for you. But if you are prepared to put up with that (and I think the film is much more realistic for the swearing being in there) then its a really great film.

Based around a mother’s quest to find the killer of her daughter it raises some important issues including:

  • What is justice?
  • Taking justice into one’s own hands
  • Human rights (as regards DNA databases)
  • Judging people
  • The nature of goodness.

A fantastic film – in my all-time top 10 now.

Highly recommended.
