Dave Tomlinson visit – 14-16 February

We are delighted to welcome our friend Dave Tomlinson back to Newark following his visit 2 years ago.

For those who don’t know him Dave is a Church of England vicar who is well known for writing books of popular theology, including ‘How to be a Bad Christian’ and ‘The Bad Christian’s Manifesto.’ He is often heard as a contributor to Radio 2’s ‘Pause for Thought’ and presents a weekly reflection online from ‘The Holy Shed’- the littlest parish in Christendom. For 10 years he ran a church in a pub known as ‘Holy Joes’.

Dave will be involved with 3 things at our church while he is here:

On Friday 14 February at 7 p.m. he will be giving a talk on prayer. The image below gives more details. Entry is free. This is bound to be a fascinating entertaining and challenging presentation and discussion

On Saturday morning (15th) Dave will be involved in the Men’s Group that meets in our church hall for breakfast and a chat from 09.00.

Then on Sunday morning (16th) he will lead our communion service at 11.00.

You would be most welcome to attend any or all of these events. (Men only for the Men’s Group, as you might have worked out for yourself.)
